Why you need them. 

cPanel comes with forwarders & autoresponders built-in. This is great as it simplifies the process meaning anyone with  cPanel Hosting or a cPanel VPS package can redirect multiple emails effectively through a few easy steps from the client area. By having Auto-reply type features enabled for certain emails, you better position your business for a number of situations.Whether that be setting up an out-of-hours response for customer enquiries or sending a confirmation upon receipt of an email.

Forwarders

 

  1. Login to your cPanel account.
  2. Navigate to the "Email" section.
  3. Click "Forwarders".
  4. Click on "Add Forwarder".
  5. Enter the email address to forward to.
  6. Under destination: Either select enter an email address to forward the email to, or discard the email and return a failure message to the sender.
  7. Click "Add Forwarder"

Autoresponders

  1. Login to your cPanel account.
  2. Navigate to the "Email" section.
  3. Click "Autoresponder"
  4. Click "Add Autoresponder"
  5. Make a note of the "Tags" details at the top of the page. 
  6. Leave the character set as "UTF-8"
  7. Enter the email address. 
  8. Select the domain. 
  9. Enter "From", "Subject" & "Body" fields. 
  10. Using both "Start" & "Stop" you can modify when the autoresponder runs. 
  11. Click "Create/Modify"
